Men Arrested on Suspicion of Car Theft

Two men have been arrested after a stolen Mini was seized by police at Welcome Break Service Station on the M6 at 1.01pm on Thursday 13 December.

When officers arrived they found it had false number plates and following further enquiries they established it had been stolen from the Lichfield area.

The two men were arrested at the scene.

A 24-year-old man from Dudley was arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle. He was also arrested on suspicion of five burglaries in Staffordshire and on warrant for failure to appear at court in connection with another incident.

A 23-year-old man from Dudley was arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle. He was also arrested on suspicion of five burglaries in Staffordshire and on warrant for bail offences.

Both men were detained for court in connection with the offences for which they were wanted on warrant.
