Appeal to locate wanted man who has absconded from custody – Coleshill
Warwickshire Police is appealing for information after a man absconded from custody this evening (Thursday, 21 February).
The incident happened on Lichfield Road in Coleshill, near junction 9 of the M42, by the entrance to Hams Hall.
Malag is currently serving a 15 week sentence for sexual assault and was today appealing his sentence at Nottingham Magistrates Court. The court rejected his appeal and he was to return back to HMP Hewell to serve the remainder of his sentence.
He is described as white, around 6′ tall, of medium build, with receding dark brown hair that is balding on top and brown eyes. He has a gold tooth and two tattoos on his neck, one of which says ‘Tanesha’. Malag is believed to be wearing blue jeans, a yellow t-shirt and grey trainers.
Malag has links to Smethwick, Warley and Handsworth.
Detective Sergeant Adam Clifford from Warwickshire Police said: “We are appealing for the public’s help to find Kamil Malag, and would urge anyone who has seen him or has any information as to his whereabouts to please get in touch.”
