Appeal to Locate Elderly Victim’s Stolen Purse Containing Sentimental Items – Lillington

Warwickshire Police are appealing for witnesses and the public’s help to locate a purse containing sentimental items that was stolen from a woman in her 90s in Lillington.
The incident happened some time between 11pm on Saturday, 30 May and 6.45am on Sunday, 31 May when the suspect is believed to have broken into a property in the Stockton Grove area and stolen the purse.
The purse is described as a medium sized black women’s purse with two zip compartments, containing cash, cards, the photo pictured along with another photo of a woman wearing RAF uniform, and a handwritten note.
The items contained in the purse are of great sentimental value, and the photo (pictured) is the only photo the victim has of her wedding during the war.
Officers are appealing to anyone who may have seen or located the purse and/or any of the items inside that are described above. They would also like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has information that could help with enquiries.
Anyone with any information is asked to call Warwickshire Police on 101 and ask for PSI Dee Urquhart, quoting incident number 134 of 31 May 2020.
Alternatively, information can be given anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or via their website.
