Off Road Bikes Seized

On Sunday 29th November, Warwickshire Police received a number of calls regarding off road bikes being raced around fields and land near Napton on the Hill.

Officers attended and located the bikes going back to their vans parked nearby.

After making enquiries with the riders it transpired that neither of the bikes were taxed, MOT or insured and the riders didn’t have the appropriate licences to ride that category of motorcycle.  As such the bikes were seized and the riders reported for multiple offences.

Following investigation it was discovered that the green Kawasaki bike had its identification numbers removed and fake numbers stamped over the top.

Although the rider had purchased the bike in good faith, he had failed to conduct the appropriate checks to ensure he wasn’t buying possible stolen property.

Work is now being done to identify the correct bike details and hopefully return it to the rightful owner.
