Concern for Dogs Left in Vehicles in Hot Weather

Warwickshire Police have had a number of reports of dogs left in vehicles in recent days during the hot weather causing members of the public to have concern for their welfare.

Many people think it’s ok to leave their dog in the car if they’re parked in the shade or the windows are open. But a car can become as hot as an oven, even when the weather doesn’t feel that warm.

It is very dangerous to leave your dog in a vehicle in hot weather, even for a short time as it will cause your dog suffering and harm.
