Wanted Man Arrested By Police
Warwickshire Police would like to thank everyone who shared the police appeal to find Jake Wood. He has been found by police and arrested.
Wood, 22, and of no fixed abode was arrested by officers in Coleshill Road, Atherstone, on Tuesday (14 August) after being wanted on recall to prison.
Cash and 100 wraps of class A drugs were seized and property allegedly damaged during the arrest. Wood was charged with possession of heroin and cocaine, causing criminal damage, and possession of criminal property.
He was also charged with possession of a prohibited weapon, possession of cannabis, and escaping lawful custody, in connection with an incident on 9 April.
Detective Sergeant Todd Lomax said: “We’d like to thank the members of the public who assisted officers as we attempted to arrest Wood.”
Wood will appear at Coventry Magistrates’ Court this morning (Thursday 16 August).
