Work of Rural Crime Officers in North Warwickshire Beat Area

The Rural Crime Team covering the North of the County have been busy on the run up to Christmas.
Although Covid-19 has reduced many planned engagements , where possible they have been busy visiting our victims of crime and providing appropriate crime reduction measures and reassurance.
As well as visiting our rural community, the last few weeks have seen them investigating both Acquisitive and Wildlife Crime.
A snap shot of their recent work is below,
A call from a farmer resulted in a vehicle being stopped in Austrey Occupants and lurchers checked out , resulting in an arrest made. Enquiries ongoing . Many thanks to Response Team B for their swift support.
Transit van full of scrap metal stopped and seized in Shuttington. Driver reported for offences and vehicle condemned.
Swan shot with pellet in Nuneaton, enquiries continuing.
Caravan stolen from Northants recently recovered 5 days later by RCT Officers supported by Atherstone SNT.  A timely piece of intel from our RCT colleagues in Rugby narrowed our enquiries resulting in a prompt seizure in Hartshill. Investigation ongoing.
Several Muntjac deer have been reportedly found dead in Bluebell Woods, Dordon during the last two weeks. Live investigation and enquiries ongoing.
Warrant executed in Hartshill where we supported Atherstone SNT target a suspected chop shop. Items seized and enquiries ongoing.
A brief snapshot of the last few weeks. Stay Safe
